Smoking Policy
Malvina House Hotel is a non smoking and vaping establishment, we ask all guests to smoke or vape in the designated outside smoking areas.
Car Hire
Cars are available to hire through Stanley Service Limited.
Packed Lunches
Are available and should be ordered the night before.
Tours
Day tours are available to visit wildlife colonies, battlefield sites, fishing and places of interest or even a combination. We would always recommend booking in advance to save disappointment in peak season, through Falkland Island Holidays.
Room Fridge Stocking
Instead of having your room fridge stocked with items you don’t need we can personalise the contents to your requirements. This can be arranged before you arrive or when you arrive.
Room Service
Why leave the comfort of your own room, during restaurant opening hours there is a room service menu available.
Darwin Lodge
Should you wish to get away from Stanley and spend a night or two or just travel out for the day to Camp Darwin offers a perfect base should you wish to visit Goose Green, go fishing, search for Gentoo penguins at New Haven, enjoy a costal walk or more challenging Mount Usborne with the warm welcome and farmhouse cooking at Darwin Lodge.
Laundry
We provide an in house next day laundry service for personal items of washing and Ironing. Iron and Ironing boards are also available on request.
Internet
We are pleased to offer wireless internet access throughout the hotel, including all guest bedrooms and public areas.
Complimentary Access for Residents:
From November 2025, Wi-Fi will be free of charge for all hotel residents during their stay.
Visitor Access:
Guests visiting the hotel for a meal or drinks can enjoy one hour of free internet access with a complimentary Wi-Fi card available from reception.
To connect, simply collect an Internet Access Card from the hotel reception and follow the instructions provided.
Please note that internet speeds in the Falkland Islands may be slower than what visitors are accustomed to elsewhere. This is due to the islands’ primary reliance on a limited-capacity geostationary satellite connection, as undersea fibre-optic links are not currently feasible. Because the available satellite bandwidth is shared by all residents, visitors, and businesses, speeds may vary, especially during peak usage times.
Our internet service is provided by Sure South Atlantic Ltd, the Falkland Islands’ telecommunications provider.
