The People

Any organisation can only be good as their people and we at Malvina House Hotel believe that all our staff has one thing in common – the well being of all our guests.

Ably led by our General Manager Carl Stroud their aim is to ensure that everyone’s visit to the hotel is a good one and they can return home having had a great experience.

That all guests receive prompt friendly and courteous service ensuring comfort and care is our highest priority.  We will strive to offer authentically local Falkland Islands experience, remembering always the unique and special environment in which we operate.

Carl Stroud – General Manager

Carl has managed the Malvina House Hotel for over 15 years and therefore has a wealth of knowledge and professionalism.  Though the hotel has changed ownership and grown in size by over double, Carl believes in a hand on approach and leads by example.

Matt Clarke – Head Chef

Having worked in kitchens all around the world, Matt Clarke creates delicious, local cuisine using innovative techniques inspired by his travels.

Renato Luengo – Restaurant Manager

Renato has been promoted from with in the restaurant and has taken over the reins of running the restaurant and keeping the high standards and friendly atmosphere.

Belinda Bagley – Head Housekeeper

Belinda and her team are the ‘hidden gems’ of the Malvina House Hotel, working hard behind the scenes to ensure that the public areas and bedrooms are clean and comfortable to ensure guests have a wonderful stay.
